Originally the chemical division of BluFlame Technology Inc., KOOLKEM now operates independently, leveraging renewable technologies and world-class designs to deliver innovative, cost-efficient water solutions that drive sustainable and responsible growth for industries of all sizes.

Industries to Affiliates

In 2023, KOOLKEM CORPORATION expanded its capabilities by acquiring BluFlame Technology in partnership with Filipino engineer and global high-tech industry pioneer Diosdado Banatao. The acquisition also included Ferro Engineering, a multi-disciplinary engineering company specializing in manufacturing and IT solutions, which was integrated into KOOLKEM’s engineering division.

Building on this momentum, KOOLKEM further enhanced its operations in 2024 by establishing Haggai as its dedicated trading arm, strengthening its ability to deliver comprehensive solutions across various industries.

Vicente P. Banatao

President and CEO

Vicente P. Banatao is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the manufacturing and energy sectors. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Philippines and completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University. Previously, he held key leadership roles, including Mill Manager and Executive Committee Member at Bataan2020, Inc., and senior positions at Container Corporation of the Philippines, Trust International Paper, and Paper Industries Corporation of the Philippines. His expertise spans paper production, energy management, and sustainability.

Vincent R. Banatao

Vice President – Sales, Marketing and Technical Service

An experienced chemical engineer with a Master’s in Business Management from the University of the Philippines and management training from Wharton Business School. He holds a Chemical Engineering license and has extensive expertise in paper manufacturing and operations management. Previously, he served as the Production Division Manager and Maintenance Division Manager at United Pulp and Paper Company, SCG Paper, where he led production teams and managed key operations across multiple divisions. His leadership spans quality assurance, raw material management, and sustainable development initiatives.
